In Honor of Bob Hunter
RASSA has created the Gentlemens Bob Hunter Sportsmanship Award
The purpose of this award is to recognize one special player in our league every year for their outstanding character, behavior and sportsmanship.
This award’s name is a tribute to Bob Hunter who truly was a gentleman who
showed true sportsmanship in every thing he did and how he treated every
person he came in contact with.
The winner of the 2023 Gentlemens Bob Hunter Sportsmanship Award is:
Ron Oliver
Dale McWhorter, Board Member and Treasurer, presented the 2023 Gentleman Bob Hunter Sportsmanship Award to long time RASSA player, Ron Oliver at our 2023 RASSA Picnic. Ron is not only one of the original players in the league, but he was also one of its founders in 2004. This award is very special because the winner is determined by a vote of all the players in the league. Obviously, the players see Ron as most deserving of this award! Congratulations to Ron!
